Overwatch Tournaments & Leagues in Texas
Overwatch is one of the most-played team shooters in Texas school and college esports. TEC runs league play and LAN tournaments for it across both tracks, with in-person events that bring teams together face to face.
A real season, close to home
Whether your players are new to ranked play or chasing a state championship, there is a place to compete. Overwatch tournaments in Texas have historically been scattered, online-only, or attached to national circuits with little Texas presence. TEC fills that gap with a real season, transparent pricing, and Texas-based events.
One Texas calendar, two tracks
Two seasons that align with the high school academic calendar. Regular-season league play online, with regional and state finals held in person.
Three splits per academic year (fall, winter, spring), with a September pre-season. One membership covers every title and every split.
Match scheduling is Texas-time and built around school commitments. LAN events are held at Texas venues. Online play is guaranteed if a venue is not confirmed.
Built for Texas schools and colleges
- Texas high schools join through the Scholastic track at $500 per school, per academic year. Includes one Varsity and one JV team per game.
- Texas colleges and universities (2-year and 4-year, varsity or club) join through the Collegiate track at $1,000 per institution, per academic year.
New programs are welcome. You do not need prior esports experience to field a team; many of our member schools started with their first roster within the last year.
Pricing is member-first and posted up front

Quick answers
Is Overwatch part of the TEC season?
Yes. Overwatch is a core title in both the Scholastic and Collegiate tracks, with league play and in-person finals each season.
Are matches online or LAN?
Both. Regular-season matches are online to keep travel manageable. Playoffs and championship events are LAN where venue commitments are in place.
What hardware do we need for Overwatch?
See the Hardware Required section below for full specifications. In short, a mid-range gaming PC with a reasonably recent GPU and a stable connection is enough for competitive play.
Can students from a club program compete?
Yes. Club-level college programs are welcome in the Collegiate track. You do not need varsity status to join.
Do you offer Overwatch tournaments outside the season?
Yes, including pre-season tune-ups and partner events. Watch the News page for upcoming Overwatch tournaments in Texas.
