Texas Esports Conference: Membership Is Open

Texas high school esports champions celebrating on stage at the Season Alpha Championship in San Antonio

On May 5, 2026, the Texas Esports Conference opened membership for the 2026-27 season. TEC is a Texas-built nonprofit conference for scholastic and collegiate esports, with two membership tracks and one goal: give Texas schools and colleges a real season to play.

We built TEC the way Texas builds its other sports. Regional play runs through the season, the top teams meet for in-person finals, and a College Pipeline connects high school players to college programs. Our mission is to build the future of Texas esports through advocacy, competition, community, and sustainability.

Two tracks, one conference.

Texas Esports Scholastic is for Texas high school programs. It is $500 per school per year and includes regional online play, a Fall mini-season and a Spring primary season, online playoffs, and in-person LANs at Texas universities. Membership covers one Varsity and one JV team per game.

Texas Esports Collegiate is for Texas colleges and universities. It is $1,000 per institution per year and includes full access to every title across three splits, LAN-intent competition at Texas venues, priority hosting, and a voice in how the season is designed.

Both tracks share the College Pipeline: an opt-in recruiting portal that makes high school players visible to Texas colleges building rosters, so students have a path to keep competing after graduation.

The pilot season is already done. It closed on May 17 with the Season Alpha Championship in San Antonio, where Texas high school programs played to in-person finals across four titles.

Enrollment for the 2026-27 season is open through September 15. Texas high schools can apply at texasesports.org/scholastic/apply, and Texas colleges and universities at texasesports.org/collegiate/apply. Questions are answered on our FAQ.

Texas Esports Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
