High school esports
Built for Texas students, parents, and teachers.
The Conference runs Monday through Thursday, online by region: a six-week fall mini-season and a nine-week spring season, each ending at a 1-day LAN. First match 6:00 PM Central. Enrollment closes September 15.
Every school fields one Varsity and one JV team per title. Smash runs on Switch, so a school playing the full Thursday slate can run both titles in the same room on the same night.
When a match week’s Monday is a school holiday, Overwatch plays that Friday instead. It happens twice, both in spring: MLK week plays Friday January 22, Presidents Day week plays Friday February 19.
Fall break, Thanksgiving, winter break, and both halves of the split Texas spring break are protected. Flex weeks absorb the makeups.
All match times Central. No weekend play outside the in-person dates.
Fall Playoffs and Finals
The whole fall postseason in one day, one Saturday, one venue.
Spring Regional Playoff
A one-day playoff at a regional venue that sets the top four in each title.
Championship
The top four in each title meet for the 2026-27 titles. One day, one stage.
Metroplex Major
The biggest in-person stage on the calendar. Scholastic Smash crews compete Friday as part of a major Smash weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth, and the league schedule clears that week so crews can travel.
The collegiate track is not a season. Colleges compete in LANs and splits on their own calendar, hosted on member campuses across Texas through the year.
