Brazosport College joins for the '26-27 school year
Brazosport joins the Collective!
The BC Gators are the founding member of a Texas-built collegiate esports league.
Texas Esports Collegiate has its first member. Brazosport College, home of the BC Gators, has joined as a founding member of the Collective’s collegiate track.
When we opened membership this spring, the premise was simple. Texas has the programs, the players, and the schools to run its own collegiate esports circuit. What it lacked was a structure that puts Texas programs on the same schedule, playing each other through a season, with finals settled in person. Brazosport is the first program to put its name behind that.
Why Brazosport
Brazosport runs one of the most complete programs in the state: dedicated esports facilities, seven competitive teams, and Legends Fest, a two-day gaming festival that drew around 600 people to campus in its first year. This spring the Gators added an NJCAAE national title in Apex Legends. They joined because a Texas circuit means something specific to their players: more games against programs they will see again, regional rivals instead of anonymous brackets, and a finals event they can travel to and compete at in person.
Brazosport is the kind of program that is setting the standard for what membership looks like. A founding member helps shape the league while it is still early, from the games we run to how a season is structured.
What membership means
Texas Esports Collegiate gives member programs three things:
Structured regional competition. A real season against other Texas colleges, not a one-off tournament.
In-person finals. The season settles on a stage, in the room, the way it should.
A network. Member programs are connected to each other and to the people building collegiate esports in Texas.
Membership is open to two- and four-year programs statewide. (Texas Esports Collegiate is the collegiate track of the Collective. High school programs have a home too, on the scholastic track, Texas Esports Conference.)
